TRIDÔME was on a Construction Management Contract immediately awarded to us after the purchase of the property. As such, we were totally involved and committed as part of the "team" to the complete design and planning process of the site design, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines. By using our knowledge and experience from the previous three (3) other IKEA projects we have performed, we were able to create precise schedules and budgets as well as execute extensive "value engineering" throughout the design process in order to bring the project in "on time" and below budget. TRIDÔME was also responsible for all detailed computerized scheduling, budgeting, tendering, all site supervision and coordination, highly detailed computerized invoicing, and implementing all "cost control" and "quality control" systems. All five hundred and fifty (550) change orders were detailed, priced, approved and executed within the same pre-determined time frame. In addition, budget savings were achieved to the extent that these extensive changes did not increase the original project budget. The changes were brought about by constantly revising and updating the design throughout the process construction. This project was built at an approximate cost of $ 34.5 million. Boucherville, Que.
